Help Raise Money For Greek/American Scholarships

The District 13 Ahepa Sports Award Banquet is a great way to recognize student athletes of Hellenic descent from all across Illinois and Wisconsin. Ahepa gives thous an ds of dollars in scholarships to help these young student athletes go to college. The Sons of Pericles, Ypsilanti #22 of Chicago, would also like to help in this cause. With your generous donations, we can help to give a scholarship to a young student athlete. Please donate whatever you can to help our cause! Thank you on behalf of the Sons of Pericles Chicago. Sons of Pericles Annual Toy Drive
November 1st to December 6th, 2014
We will be asking our members to donate at least one toy to the Toys for Tots organization to give to underprivileged children. These toys should be new and unopened and are at least $10. We look forward to making an impact in the lives of children in need during the holiday season.
Ypsilanti Clothing Drive
December 6th to February 19th, 2015
We will be asking our members to donate any old or unused clothes in order to give to the church to help out individuals who are in need during this time of the year. We are asking for at least one bag per member and are accepting donations from families outside or organization as well. Please help us to give to people who are in need.
Sons of Pericles Run for a Cure

Join the Sons of Pericles and we raise money and awareness for cancer. The Sons will be hosting a walkathon/run to do their part in helping to find a cure for a cancer. Everyone is invited to particiapte. More information coming soon.

This year, the AHEPA Family National Project is focused on the rebuilding of St. Nicholas Church at Ground Zero. The original St. Nicholas Church was destroyed on September 11, 2011, when the south tower of the World Trade Center collapsed. We will be hosting a Dinner to help raise money for this cause. Please stay tuned for announcements.
How You Can Help:
This year, the Sons of Pericles have organized the following fundraisers in rebuilding St. Nicholas Church at Ground Zero:
1. High Roller Tickets
Similar to last year, we are selling High Roller Raffle Tickets to raise funds for St. Nicholas. The Maids and Sons have a combined 100 tickets for $100 each.
2. 50/50 Raffle Tickets
Do your part - sell 50/50 Tickets to raise funds for St. Nicholas and pass out brochures to raise awareness about how we can help in rebuilding St. Nicholas'Church at Ground Zero.
3. Fundraising Competition: Our Chapter will be hosting a dinner to help raise money and awareness for St. Nicholas at Ground Zero. More details will follow. Please stay tuned.
Philanthropy is at the Cornerstone of Sons of Pericles. We use some of our funds to donate to charity as well as supporting other non for profit organizations such as Toys for Tots and Feed My Starving Children. The Sons are also part of various volunteering programs such as Toys for Tots, Feed My Stavring Children, and Fanari Camp for the Greek Orthodox Community. We attend at least four community service projects a year. Please look below to see this year's projects.
